SHOW RULES
– ALL WISCONSIN ENTRIES MUST include your state ID number on the entry form.
– PULLORUM PAPERS AND SHOW FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ALL ENTRY FORMS.
Checks are made payable to WIPC. Please remember that entries must be postmarked no later than August 31st.
Also to protect our exhibits, we will be closing the buildings Sunday at 8:45 a.m. and they will remain closed until
the end of our raffle, auction, and awards. Upon completion of awards the buildings will be reopened for the release
of all exhibits.
ENTRIES: Fees are $3.25 per bird entered. Double coops and trios will be respectively double or triple the per bird
fees. This includes junior exhibitors showing in the open class.
Entries must be marked—Bantam, Large Fowl, Guinea, Duck, Goose, Bearded or Non-Bearded, Single Comb or
Rosecomb, Trio, etc. Legbands are recommended for all birds entered in the show.
JUNIOR SHOW: Fees are $3.25 per bird entered. The show is open to exhibitors 18 years of age by January 1st of
this show year or younger. Remember to mark your entry blank with ―Junior‖ if entering the Junior Show. You
may also show different birds in the Open Show. All rules applying to the Open Show apply to the Junior Show,
except awards.
AGE OF COCKERELS AND PULLETS: 1 year or less
DISPLAYS: In Large Fowl and Bantams a display consists of at least Cock, Hen, Cockerel, Pullet and one Trio
(young or old). There are no displays in the Junior Show.
TRIOS: In Large Fowl and Bantams a trio consists of a cock and two hens (old trio), or a cockerel and two pullets
(young trio). Remember trios are judged as 3, not individually. There are no trios in the Junior Show.
WATERFOWL (except Bantam Ducks): A display consists of at least Old Male, Old Female, Young Male,
Young Female, plus any other 3 birds. For Bantam Duck display, the three other birds must be a trio (y or o).
The APA point system will be used. The more birds shown, the more points are possible.

SHOW BUILDING: It will be open to accept entries on Friday from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, 7:00 to 9:00
a.m. All birds must remain on exhibit until after the awards are presented, which will be no later than 11:00 a.m. on
that Sunday.
Feed and water will be supplied, but all exhibitors will be responsible for the feeding and watering of their own birds.
APA rules will govern this show, unless otherwise stated. Any case not provided for in those rules would be referred
to the Show Committee of WIPC, and their decision will be final. Show Committee: Butch Gunderson, Earl
Wilhelmi, Ryan Gartman, Bill Krueger, and Laura Kershaw.
The WIPC will not be responsible for awards offered by others. All the winner’s names will be forwarded to the
Club or individual offering the award. Please note: any awards placed after the printing of this catalog will be posted
at the show.
All classes will be judged through 5th place, with ribbons available through 3rd place for the Junior Show.
WIPC, its Show Committee and officers, will not be responsible for any loss, injury, or sickness of birds brought to
this show. However, all reasonable precautions will be taken to protect the exhibits.
To exhibit a bird in this show, the bird must be owned 30 days prior to showing and Pullorum testing is done.
The judges have been instructed by Show officers not to award 1st Place to a bird not worthy of the placement due to
lack of competition.
WATERFOWL: Geese will be cooped in pairs, unless otherwise requested on entry form.
******All Entry changes MUST be done through the judges table staff- no changing your own tags at the
show or we cannot be sure your birds will be judged. *******
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture requires Pullorum-Typhoid testing on all birds to be exhibited. All poultry must
originate from flocks designated as U.S. Pullorum –Typhoid clean under the N.P.I.P or from equivalent flocks, or
have had a Pullorum – Typhoid test within 90 days prior to showing. Due to enforcement of Ag Dept. rules, entries
WILL NOT be accepted without proper forms. Please include with your entry a copy of either: NPIP certification of
your flock, Wisconsin Tested Flock Certification, Wisconsin Associate Flock Certification, or a copy of Pullorum
Test Report done within 90 days of the show. In addition, all Wisconsin exhibitors must have a Wisconsin
Livestock ID # on their entry forms. We recommend that you band all of your birds.

Swap cages need to be reserved on entry form, but may be paid for at the swap. Upon entering with birds for sale, you must provide a
copy of Pullorum-Typhoid testing for the swap supervisor to keep in our files. This is in addition to any forms you turned in with your
entry and in addition to any forms you need for the buyers. We do not have a copy machine available to us on the fairgrounds, so
please make the appropriate copies in advance.–Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture requirement.
Entrants will be called COLLECT for errors or omissions on their Entry.
